The Southeast Missouri Chapter of the Missouri Writers' Guild was created in 2010 by Dr. Susan Swartwout and Donna Essner (immediate past president) , who sought to provide an opportunity for writers in Southeast Missouri to gather for the purpose of networking, support, education, and honing their craft.
